For those whose babies are due on or after October 5, 2008, women in receipt of non-cash benefits will be able to retain them for 52 weeks.

WHAT are the changes in National Minimum Wages that are happening later this year?

AS from October 1, 2008, the National Minimum Wage rates are being increased.

Those employees that are aged 22+ will see a rise from £5.52 to £5.73; those aged 18-21 will increase from £4.60 to £4.77. Sixteen and seventeen year olds will also increase from £3.40 to £3.53.
